The West Indian Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening and sustaining the West Indian community throughout Greater Hartford.
Founded in 1978, the Foundation works to preserve West Indian culture and heritage while creating opportunities for education, economic development, health and wellness, and community connection.
Through scholarships, grants, partnerships, cultural programming, and community initiatives, the Foundation supports individuals, families, businesses, and organizations while helping future generations remain connected to their heritage.
